We are thrilled to reveal the newest addition to the historical Royal Poster collection. The 2023 Royal Poster is a masterpiece brought to life by the incredibly talented Multidisciplinary Artist Aggie Armstrong. Aggie's vibrant and contagious enthusiasm for agriculture captivated us, making her the perfect artist to capture the spirit of our Fair and the excitement for the future.
"I was so excited and needless to say, I am so honoured to be asked to do it. The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair has been a longstanding tradition in Canada, and I, an immigrant artist of Filipino descent, get to be a part of its rich history!” said Aggie Armstrong. “As the artist, I wanted the poster to show the celebration of farmers' hard work on cultivation, tillage, husbandry, and livery in our country. As an ex-urbanite who now lives on a working farm, the experience is eye-opening. These stewards of land and livestock take their vocation with such pride that the fruits of their labour need to be elevated and celebrated by everyone. That's what the 101st year poster titled, The Magical Voyage to Celebration shows. It's about the fascinating way the growers and producers' routine turn up extraordinary harvest and livestock year after year. I hope that people see the beauty of agriculture and husbandry through this poster. I want the farmers to be proud of all the work they do through this poster."
